In further efforts to leverage the GPS data from my phone, I wrote a quick module today that works as an alternate method of receiving, storing and displaying the data from Luis Espinosa's excellent TrackMe software for Windows Mobile GPS enabled phones.

As of 11:00am this morning, my obsession with making my new phone do everything I could imagine has come to completion. While I can't wait for Android to be available on a good network and handset, I'm extremely content with the HTC Touch Pro on Sprint for now. It took me about 3 solid days to get the phone configured and find all the software I wanted. You can read more about that process here. My total cost ended up being 420.00 (239.99 for the phone + 180.00 for all of the additional software).

After obsessing over my new HTC Touch Pro phone (on Sprint) for about a week, tweaking the configuration, downloading and testing dozens of programs -- I'm finally content that I'm leveraging at least 75% of this incredible device. Here's the list of applications / tools / programs that I've settled on. Hopefully I can save someone else the time it took to google through all of the winmo garbage out there, and if anyone has any recommendations for great tools I've missed please leave a comment!

We're finally settled in here, it's pretty much everything we wanted. It's an old building with all the quirky charm that comes with it, a bit worn (so we don't have to tip-toe around like the last place), within walking distance of Cheeseman park and numerous restaurants and amenities.
